The Undefeated to host symposium at Morgan

Five months after its launch on May 17, The Undefeated will be making a stop at Morgan State University to present a symposium titled “The Impact of Negative Images on Black Women Athletes,” moderated by ESPN’s Jemele Hill. Athletic Director to retire at the end of the school year

by Benjamin McKnight III, Editor in ChiefMorgan State University’s athletic director Floyd Kerr has announced that he will retire at the end of the academic year. In a press release issued on Tuesday afternoon, Kerr notified campus president David Wilson that he will end his tenure at Morgan State on June 30, just over two weeks before reaching 11 years as the athletic director. “I appreciate Floyd’s service to the university during his time here,” said Wilson in the release. “There have been many noteworthy achievements, including a successful basketball program and winning a football conference championship.” Before Morgan State, Kerr […]

Lady Bears Lose Home Opener to Hoyas

For a team such as the Lady Bears volleyball squad, the early parts of the season are often the most challenging. Beginning another campaign with a highly competitive non-conference schedule, the Lady Bears held their first home contest of the season against the visiting Georgetown Hoyas on Sept. 8. With both teams having similar records, the Lady Bears hoped to steal a win before preparing for their next tournament this coming weekend.
