Alma Adams, D-North Carolina, will deliver the keynote address at the Saturday ‘State of the Union’ program. Nine historically black institutions, including Morgan, are celebrating 150th or sesquicentennial anniversaries. Other institutions include I-95 neighbor Howard University, Alabama State University, Talladega College [Alabama], Johnson C. This week presents a challenge for The Bears, who play their first Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) game. Not only have they yet to win a game this season, but they also have yet to score a point.
