Ty’Rique Sims, Staff WriterMorgan State University’s football could not get it done in their final home game of the season as they were defeated 41-10 by the Bethune-Cookman University Wildcats. Both the Bears and Wildcats entered the game with identical 2-5 records, but BCU proved to be the better team. Bears move on in the MEAC Tournament

by Devon AshbyMorgan State’s men’s basketball team defeated the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks 65-58 in the first round of the MEAC Tournament Tuesday. The first half of the contest was particularly close, as the two teams exchanged leads four times. Morgan’s first half shooting was abysmal from the three-point line, going just 2-10 attempts; however, they made 41 percent of their shots from the field, and went into the half down 33-29. The Bears beat the visiting University of Virginia-Lynchburg Dragons by a score of 61-0 at Hughes Memorial Stadium Saturday afternoon in a game that, due to NCAA accreditation issues for Virginia-Lynchburg, will not count on either team’s official schedule and stat books.
