Begg was recognized for pitching a total of 26.1 innings in five games, while giving up zero runs and striking out 24. She had an ERA of 0.00 against Mount St. Mary’s, UMBC and Norfolk State and held a 15-5 record after the Norfolk Series at the time. Murray Field. “We played hard and played through each inning together. Men’s basketball looks to translate regular season success at MEAC Tournament

Hundreds of teams will compete in their conference tournaments to secure a spot in the big dance, the NCAA Basketball Tournament. When the Morgan State University men’s basketball team started this season, expectations were relatively low. They were only picked to be tenth in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference’s (MEAC) pre-season poll, but this year’s team had much higher goals than that. Lady Bears winning streak snapped at home

by Ty’Rique Sims, Staff WriterThe Lady Bears basketball team saw their five-game winning streak come to an end Saturday, as they lost 71-58 to the Lady Pirates of Hampton University at Hill Field House. Hampton (15-12, 9-5 MEAC) improved to 31-11 all-time against Morgan State and has now won 13 straight against the Lady Bears. The win also ended a three-game losing skid for the Lady Pirates, while stopping a four-game home court winning streak by the Lady Bears.
