Men’s basketball looks to translate regular season success at MEAC Tournament

Blair Young, Staff WriterMarch Madness begins this week for many teams across the country. Hundreds of teams will compete in their conference tournaments to secure a spot in the big dance, the NCAA Basketball Tournament. When the Morgan State University men’s basketball team started this season, expectations were relatively low. They were only picked to be tenth in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference’s (MEAC) pre-season poll, but this year’s team had much higher goals than that. Bears end senior night with season sweep of Eagles

Traevon Benjamin, Staff WriterIn the final 10 seconds of Senior Night, Morgan State University held a two-point lead over Coppin State University. Hoping for a chance to get the ball back and go for a tie or the win, the Eagles instead made the mistake of fouling the Bears, allowing them to put away the game 71-66.
