NCAA Places Sanctions on Morgan State’s Athletic Department

By The MSU Spokesman Editorial StaffThe Morgan State University athletics program was rocked Tuesday by NCAA sanctions that will bar the university’s football, softball and women’s tennis programs from postseason play for a year and place the entire athletic department on probation for four years. The NCAA’s Division I Committee on Infractions charged the school with “a lack of institutional control,” alleging that athletics officials violated NCAA eligibility and financial aid rules. WEAA 88.9 hosts launch party in celebration of new era

The station, which started in 1977, unveiled a new lineup of programs, which officially started on Oct 2.. The new shows include “Mornings with Mykel” from 6-10 a.m. on weekdays and “For the Culture,” hosted by Farajii Muhammed from 5-7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
