Senior receiver Ricky Fisk set the tone for the Bears with a huge 44-yard reception from Andrews which led to a 12-yard touchdown pass to redshirt junior receiver Amonta Poteat. Ty’Rique Sims, Staff WriterMorgan State University graduate quarterback Chris Andrews made some key plays with his feet in a last chance drive for the Bears to set up a game winning touchdown run by sophomore running back Eric Harrell, as the Bears defeated Howard University 28-24 in their MEAC opener. Howard built up momentum in the second half off of a few big plays and scoring 17 unanswered points, taking their first lead of the game at 24-21 with 4:00 left after a field goal. Lee Hull Departs from Morgan After Two-Year Stint

Tramon Lucas, Campus News EditorSports Illustrated has reported that Morgan State Football coach Lee Hull will be leaving the program after two seasons to become the wide receivers coach with the Indianapolis Colts of the NFL.  Defensive lineman Andrew Mitchell told the Spokesman that football players were summoned to a mandatory meeting Monday afternoon, where they were told that Hull would be leaving.  In his first season, Hull led the Bears to a Mid-Eastern Atlantic Conference co-championship in 2014. He also took the program to the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs, making it the first NCAA Division I playoff appearance in the program’s history. […]

by Devon AshbyThe Morgan State Bears received their first conference loss on Saturday, conceding defeat to the visiting Hampton University Pirates 20-10 on homecoming weekend. The Bears offense struggled tremendously, turning the ball over three times in the first half, including an intercepted pitch that Hampton took 93 yards for a score.
