Students raise concerns of safety following recent nearby shootings

Recent crimes in Northwood catch attention of Morgan State police

by Tramon Lucas, Managing Editor After the noticeable increase of violent crime in the Northwood Shopping Center, the Morgan State University Police Department urges students, faculty and staff to stay away from the BP gas station until improvements are made in the security. Harry Malik Robertson, 20, of the 2200 block of Forest Glade Lane in Suitland, MD was denied bail early Friday during a hearing in Baltimore City District Court. Robertson, himself a former Morgan student was arrested Thursday in Prince Georges County late Wednesday.
