Relations between the United States and Cuba have been historically hostile; decades-old economic sanctions, placed on Cuba the 1960s, have limited travel and communication between the two nations. Americans and Cubans don’t know much about each other besides what they’ve seen in their respective media, but a group of students from Morgan State University teamed up with students from the University of Havana to put together a documentary to attempt to bridge that gap and build lasting relationships. Since its founding in 1867, Morgan State University has seen a plethora of leaders, innovators and fighters for change. Multiple generations of Morganites have fought to have the institution known as Morgan State today, but the fire in current Bears has dimmed in recent years. Morgan State University security improves for students

Safety precautions have heightened at Morgan State University as the campus prepared for the resetting of daylight saving time. The university police and public safety department worked diligently with the physical plant to adjust lighting in specific locations that have photo cell lights. These lights have sensors that allows you to detect light, while other lighting around the campus are set by timers. The Lady Bears look to improve and go all the way as the new season begins

As the Morgan State Lady Bears prepare to tip off their 2017-18 basketball season, new changes in coaching and two preseason All-MEAC players on the team look to have a successful campaign. Edward Davis Jr. begins his first full season as the head coach after spending his previous four seasons serving as an assistant coach for the Lady Bears. He was named interim head coach last summer and the announcement came before the semester started. The latest information on the upcoming renovations of Rawlings Dining Hall

The Rawlings dining hall, located on the south end of Morgan State University’s campus, is going to be renovated this upcoming winter with a fresh, new modern look. The renovations are to occur during the winter break of 2017 and to be open to students at the beginning of the spring semester.
