Morgan Models Make a Stride at Homecoming Show

By Kiah LucasIn the spirit of homecoming, Fashion at Morgan, Absolutely Beautiful and Confident Modeling Organization, and I.M.E. Agency held a fashion show last night in the Calvin and Tina Tyler Ballroom, located in the Morgan State University Student Center. The show consisted of a few dance numbers, as well as some runway modeling. The Y-shaped stage set-up made it easier to view the show from anywhere in the room. Don’t Sweat It: Artist Nashuan Lemay Has Plans for Your Hoodie

Morgan State senior and architect major Nashaun Lemay expands his artistic ability outside of the classroom with the creation of painted crewneck and hoodie sweatshirts. Lemay began painting in high school. “My brother wanted a gift and I didn’t have any money to give him one so I thought I’ll get some fabric paint and make him a sweatshirt,” Lemay says. “I didn’t connect that I could make money from it, I just started realizing it.”  Suddenly aware he could profit from his designs, he started to paint sneakers for his high school peers.
