Knicks Prove To Be Stiff Competition in the Eastern Conference

The New York Knicks have caught fire just in time.  The Knicks have won 15 of their last 16 games and the NBA playoffs begin in less than week.  During this streak, the Knicks have beaten teams like the Memphis Grizzles, Boston Celtics, Oklahoma City Thunder, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers, all who are currently playoff teams.  Not to mention that all of the Knicks center players are injured, causing them to play small against other teams. And There Were Two! The NCAA Championship is set. The number nine ranked Michigan Wolverines and the number one ranked Louisville Cardinals will play on Monday, April 8 at 9pm inside the Georgia Dome. The Cardinals awaited their opponent after making a late comeback win and defeating Wichita State. The Cardinals went into the second half down by one (26-25). The men’s NCAA Final Four is set. The show goes down Saturday April 6, and the tip-off for the first game is at 6:09 pm between Wichita State and Louisville. The second game between Syracuse Orange and Michigan Wolverines takes off at 8:49 pm. We will see the number nine ranked Wichita State Shockers go up against number one seed Louisville State Cardinals. Both teams come in the game with high hopes and dreams of defeating the opposing team. Cooled Off Heat: Miami Heat Streak Comes to a Halt

The Miami Heat winning streak ends at 27 games straight 101-97, with a lost from a Derrick Rose-less Bulls. A road game for the Miami Heat team but a homecoming for Heat All-Star Dwayne Wade was cut short by a stifling defense led by Lou Deng and Carlos Boozer. The Bears Fall Short in MEAC Tournament

The Morgan State Bears fell short on punching their ticket to the NCAA Tournament and becoming MEAC champs. The team battled all night against the North Carolina A&T Aggies, but the game outcome was 57-54. This was the second time the Bears saw the Aggies this year- their first encounter of a regular season conference game in late January ended in a Bears win 55-52. This time the game came down to a last minute shot, and there was more on the line other than bragging rights.
