The team that suited up in the season finale was a completely different team that suited up in the first week. Men’s basketball recap of first five games

by Blair Young, Sports EditorThe men’s basketball team started their much anticipated season a little underhanded. They are missing star guard Tiwian Kendley who is out due to a suspension. Despite missing their leading scorer from last year, the Bears managed to start their season with a winning record (3-2). Consistent play from the bench and contributions from new players have carried the team during the absence of Kendley. Morgan State bookstore management falls under Barnes and Noble

by Penelope Blackwell, Campus News EditorSeven weeks after it was set to open, Barnes and Noble will officially outsource and manage the Morgan State University bookstore on Nov. 20. New management was delayed due to the university not being ready. “Barnes and Noble will take over the bookstore in mid-November. This may shift to January in the spring semester, we are not sure. October 1st was the original deadline, but it was pushed back because we are not ready,” said Sidney Evans, the vice president for finance and management. Lady Bears Basketball post 2-1 record through first three games

The team is led by senior guard Braennan Farrar and senior forward Tykayrah Williams. Both Farrar and Williams were selected to the preseason All-MEAC teams. The Lady Bears roster this season is a lot different than last year’s. With the departures of Zuri White, Chelsea Mitchell, Jayde Duncan and Ivy Harrington, head coach Edward Davis signed new additions to the team.
