Men’s basketball recap of first five games

by Blair Young, Sports EditorThe men’s basketball team started their much anticipated season a little underhanded. They are missing star guard Tiwian Kendley who is out due to a suspension. Despite missing their leading scorer from last year, the Bears managed to start their season with a winning record (3-2). Consistent play from the bench and contributions from new players have carried the team during the absence of Kendley. Lady Bears Basketball post 2-1 record through first three games

The team is led by senior guard Braennan Farrar and senior forward Tykayrah Williams. Both Farrar and Williams were selected to the preseason All-MEAC teams. The Lady Bears roster this season is a lot different than last year’s. With the departures of Zuri White, Chelsea Mitchell, Jayde Duncan and Ivy Harrington, head coach Edward Davis signed new additions to the team. by Akira Kyles, Managing Editor Straying from her usual turkey sandwich, Shirleyanna Davis, a junior psychology major, decided to get a crispy chicken sandwich with extra honey mustard, lettuce, tomato and peppers on a roll from the Student Center food court. After consuming the sandwich, she became sick and threw up, twice, according to Davis. Federal work study is a federal program at Morgan State that was established to assist in finding job placement for undergraduate students who may qualify for part-time, on and off-campus jobs. Morgan State University security improves for students

The university police and public safety department worked diligently with the physical plant to adjust lighting in specific locations that have photo cell lights. These lights have sensors that allows you to detect light, while other lighting around the campus are set by timers.
