by Ty’Rique Sims, Assistant Sports Editor The Morgan State Bears and the Towson University Tigers will renew their rivalry Saturday Sept. 2 in what is being called ‘The Battle for Greater Baltimore.’ The two Baltimore area programs announced in a press conference July 6 that a home-to-home series will be played this year and in 2018. A new seating program will allow students to sit in the blue seats usually reserved for season ticket holders. Interim Coach assumes full-time position as head football coach

by Ty’Rique Sims, Staff WriterMorgan State University’s Director of Athletics Edward Scott announced Friday that interim head coach Fred T. Farrier will assume the full-time position as the head football coach for the MSU Bears. Farrier joined the Bears in 2014 as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. He replaced former head coach Lee Hull, who became the wide receivers coach for the Indianapolis Colts. Hull in two seasons as the Bears head coach had a combined 11-12 overall record and a 10-6 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference record.
