Boston Fast Food Employees Protest

By Tiffany BrownBOSTON — Boston fast food employees recently protested out of anger and frustration to demand higher wages. Nine people were arrested and charged with disturbing the peace after causing a traffic jam in the Financial District on State and Congress streets. Protesters, who are fighting for $15 an hour, have complained that their wages are significantly below the cost of living. There are 42,000 fast food workers in Boston being paid an average of $9.50 an hour.
