University prepares for impending snow storm with school closure

Devon Ashby, Staff WriterIn anticipation of a snowstorm expected to produce five to eight inches of snow, Morgan State University president David Wilson canceled all classes for Tuesday March 14. A winter storm warning is in effect until 2 p.m. EST Tuesday. Temperatures will be in the low 30s, with winds expected to blow between 10 to 15 miles per hour. Wilson confirmed the class cancellations, which also included any classes after 4 p.m. Monday March 13, via his Twitter account, in a post that read, “Classes being cancelled starting at 4pm today. Men’s basketball looks to translate regular season success at MEAC Tournament

Hundreds of teams will compete in their conference tournaments to secure a spot in the big dance, the NCAA Basketball Tournament. When the Morgan State University men’s basketball team started this season, expectations were relatively low. They were only picked to be tenth in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference’s (MEAC) pre-season poll, but this year’s team had much higher goals than that. Bears end senior night with season sweep of Eagles
