by Ty’Rique Sims, Assistant Sports Editor The Morgan State Bears and the Towson University Tigers will renew their rivalry Saturday Sept. 2 in what is being called ‘The Battle for Greater Baltimore.’ The two Baltimore area programs announced in a press conference July 6 that a home-to-home series will be played this year and in 2018. In wake of the Housing Waitlist Issue, temporary housing goes into effect at nearby hotel

by Akira Kyles, Managing EditorTemporary housing has been activated for about 70 female students as Morgan State University negotiated rooms at the Radisson hotel four miles from the main campus in the wake of the housing waitlist issue.  This semester, MSU has seen an increase in enrollment and have overbooked their dorms leaving students without a room on campus. This has left students and parents frustrated about how something like this could happen. Zipcar car zooms its way to Morgan State

by Akira Kyles, Managing EditorMorgan State University students, faculty and staff now have a new way to get around town between classes thanks to the new Zipcars on campus. In an announcement sent out to the campus on Monday, Morgan has now made Zipcar available for everyone to use. Students can use it if they are at least 18 years old or older. To use the service, MSU students must sign up to become a member for $15. Zipcar is a car sharing service that operates 24/7 in most cities across the country. My Commute to Morgan

As a resident of Rockville, MD, in Montgomery County, I have to commute to school. I don’t have access to a car, so I have to get up early every morning and take at least one bus and two trains every day, and a trip that normally only lasts 45 minutes turns into two to three hours.
