In anticipation of a snowstorm expected to produce five to eight inches of snow, Morgan State University president David Wilson canceled all classes for Tuesday March 14.
A winter storm warning is in effect until 2 p.m. EST Tuesday. Temperatures will be in the low 30s, with winds expected to blow between 10 to 15 miles per hour.
Wilson confirmed the class cancellations, which also included any classes after 4 p.m. Monday March 13, via his Twitter account, in a post that read, “Classes being cancelled starting at 4pm today. School closed on tomorrow! Make good decisions!”
The campus’s main food court will also be closed. However, the Rawlings Dining Hall will remain open and will run on the weekend schedule; brunch will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and dinner from 4:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
With Morgan also marking the start of midterm exams, it’s unknown whether students will have to make up for any missed tests and how that will be done.
