The Rundown On Apple’s Latest Developments

imagesThe much talked about and highly anticipated iOS7 update has been released, and while many users experienced long waits due to thousands trying to update at the same time, most are very happy with their updates. The International Business Times described the new operating system as “sleek” and “fresh.” It comes with dozens of new features including new multitasking and a new control center. The control center gives you access to do what you need to do quickly. In the center there is a flashlight (no more app download), Wi-Fi, do not disturb mode, brightness, music controls and camera. Another cool feature is called AirDrop, which allows you to easily share photos, videos, contacts or anything else with just a touch of a “Share” button. This feature uses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to get the job done smoothly. The most noticeable feature change is the camera and your photo library. The camera comes with new filters and shooting formats. Its new square form is made to adapt to Instagram, still, panorama and video. The photo library group’s all of your photos by year, collections and moments (all based on time & place). This makes it much easier to find a specific photo or video.

iPhone 5C
If you have an upgrade or are just willing to spend that extra coin, the iPhone 5S and 5C have now been released as of this past Friday the 20th. The 5C comes in five new bright colors- blue, green, yellow, pink and white, and is preinstalled with iOS 7. It boasts an A6 chip that promises a longer battery life, designed to be extremely energy efficient. Some other good features are the new Face Time HD camera with larger pixels and an improved backside illumination sensor (good for low light). The 5C also comes with 13 LTE bands, which means the user can expect fast download and upload speeds in more places. The iPhone 5C starts at $99.

 iPhone 5S
The iPhone 5S also comes installed with iOS 7, and in the elegant colors gold, silver and space grey. It has the first ever smartphone fingerprint identity sensor called Touch ID, located right in the home button. Your fingerprint unlocks your phone, approves purchases and reads no matter which way the phone is turned. Touch ID also allows multiple fingerprints so your trusted ones have access as well. Another first within the phone is the A7 chip, designed around a 64-bit architecture. This makes the 5S twice as fast as previous generations. Battery life is also saved with the help of the M7 coprocessor. The 5S camera differs from the one in the 5C. There is a 15 percent larger sensor, a continuous burst mode that lets you capture multiple shots of the action by snapping 10 photos per second, true tone flash for ideally perfect lighting, slow motion video, live zoom, and auto image stabilization. The new iPhone 5S starts at $199.
