Justin Timberlake’s ’20-20 Experience’ Generates a Buzz

Justin_Timberlake copyJustin Timberlake hasn’t made a studio album in almost seven years. But with his new album “The 20/20 Experience,” he hasn’t missed a beat.  With the single “Suit and Tie” featuring rap artist Jay-Z, fans were excited to see what Timberlake had in store for the album.  Like always, when it comes to music, Timberlake did not disappoint.  With songs such as “Strawberry Bubblegum” and “Don’t Hold The Wall,” and a mixture of R&B, Jazz, Blues and Soul, the  album is full of tracks that all ages can listen to and enjoy.

If you thought his first two albums were good, you’re in for a treat as he delivers another album full of good music that will have your iPods, iTunes and music players on repeat.

Timberlake has already sold around 960,000 copies (that is not a typo) in the first week of sales, something that has only happened 19 other times in 22 years.  “Whoa… Speechless. Shocked,” wrote Timberlake to his 18 million followers on Twitter March 27.  “Numbers go up, numbers go down. I just hope this album makes your summer.  You already made mine‬.”

While performing “Suit and Tie” on Saturday Night Live on March 9, Justin Timberlake changed the original lyrics in the second verse from “S*!@ so sick, got a hit and picked up a habit” to “My hits so sick, got rappers acting dramatic.” The lyric change was a diss directed towards Kanye West’s comments made on February 23 in London, where Kanye West told a concert crowd, “I got love for Hov, but I ain’t f*&%!@’ with that ‘Suit and Tie.’”

Timberlake, most recently known for his acting rather than music, has proved to everyone that music is still his first love.  He also announced that he and Jay-Z would be conducting a tour entitled “Legends Of The Summer.”  The tour will begin July 17 in Toronto.  Now that Timberlake is back, hopefully he won’t make us wait another seven years to release another album.
