Global Village hosts New York doctor for forum

The School of Global Journalism & Communication’s, as part of their “Global Village” initiative, hosted a forum with a doctor who survived a rape and overcame the murders of her son and sister to earn her medical license. Growing up in the South Bronx was tough for Dr. Arabia Mollette. At age 15 she was sent to live with her father, who’d spent time in rehab for drug use, because her mother was deemed mentally unstable after trying to kill herself. First annual Beulah Davis day celebration to occur this week

  In honor of National Library Week, the Earl S. Richardson Library will be hosting the first annual Beulah M. Davis Day. Beulah Davis was the first professionally trained and the second alumni librarian to serve Morgan College. Davis graduated in 1925 then returned in 1926 while completing her degree in Library Science. She remained at Morgan for nearly 40 years. “In light of Morgan’s 50th anniversary, contributions by people such as Ms. Davis need to be public, remembered and celebrated,” said Ida Jones, the first and current University Archivist.
